Boston MS Walk 2015

Today was the Boston MS Walk and my team, The Bean Team, participated for the 7th year and the weather was great - lucky 7!!! The great thing about this event is that it is a short walk (3 miles) and there is no fundraising required. Since many of us do other events that require fundraising we focus our efforts there. It is nice that this event is just an opportunity to get together and celebrate another year of good health while raising awareness for MS! I'm so grateful to my family and friends who give up their Sunday morning to travel into Boston to walk by my side!

Every year it seems that they take the team photos in a new spot and the lighting is always too bright or too dark. . . combine that with trying to get everyone to look and smile at the same time. . . it really is a miracle if you get a half decent photo. This one is ok considering all that! Lol!

My good friend Noelle came with her husband and son to see us off. She couldn't walk because she is on bedrest and will be giving birth within the next 2 weeks! She looks amazing and I told her to go home and rest up!!!

My good friend Emily has done the walk with me all 7 years and I'm sad to say this will be here last, at least for a while. After she gets married in May she is moving to DC. I'm SO sad for her to leave Boston but happy for her and her new adventures. Plus DC is a great place to visit!

My former roommate Michelle came with her husband and daughter again this year. Annika is just the cutest thing and I love that she was giving me only serious looks all morning!

Joana and Carter were there too but unfortunately had to leave the rest of their family at home with colds. We missed them but I'm so glad they could at least make it. Carter has been to the walk every year since he was born (the first year we did it in 2009 Joana was due to have him within just a couple of weeks)!

Of course my parents and biggest supporters were there!

My nieces were all about the shoulder rides. Fortunately Grampy and Uncle Scott were feeling generous (and strong)!

My immediate family! We all were so happy that the snow has finally melted. It turned into a beautiful sunny day in Boston which made us all happy to be outside!

These two had a blast together today. They have known each other since they were babies but only see each other once or twice a year so it took them a bit to warm up to each other again. But once they did there was no stopping the giggling and chatting. It was so cute! I have no clue what they were talking about but they thought it was hilarious!

My aunts and uncle were there too! I'm a lucky girl to have such a supportive family who comes to all of my fundraisers and this walk every year!

Of course we had to take a few selfies! Peyton would only make a "funny face" but at least Carter gave me a nice smile!

I'm loving my new orange sneakers! They looked great with our shirts! Oh and I'm also loving the quote I picked (with your help) for the back of our shirts this year!

Another great year at the Boston MS Walk! I can't believe it has been 7 years already! I'm just so thankful that I'm healthy enough to walk and that I have so many people by my side! Thanks to everyone who walked and/or sent well wishes.

I didn't do any fundraising for this event since I put all my fundraising efforts toward the MS Challenge Walk. . . so don't worry I'll be in touch soon about making a donation! :)

  1. Glad Walk MS Boston went well!

Hit me up for a MS Challenge Walk donation this year. It's budgeted in my 2015 charitable giving plan.

My husband jokingly called me "Our Charitable Donation Committee" when we were working on taxes this weekend.

  4. Those shoes are so perfect! I thought the colors were more muted, but I love how bright and vibrant they are in action! Congrats on a successful walk!
