Elon Basketball Comes To Boston

And Ella Sleeps Over

Ella plays basketball in the town league. It is all kindergartners and it might be the most hilarious thing I've ever seen! Double dribble? Travel? Guarding? Not important when you are 5. What is important? Getting a basket which surprisingly some of them can actually do, including Ella! (Sorry for the blurry action shots - best I could get with the iPhone and too cute not to share)!

After Ella's basketball game we made our way to Boston for some Valentine's crafts and selfies! We couldn't quite coordinate our funny faces. Hey using that selfie stick isn't as easy as you'd think! We also watched Toy Story which is such a great movie. Ella goes to Disney next week and she is just a little bit excited!

We went to dinner and I was reminded that sometimes kids still need bibs. White shirt + ketchup = disaster! Good think she had a hoodie that she could wear to hide the mess! And thank you to the staff at Not Your Average Joe's for making a fast 2nd gluten free/dairy free meal after the 1st fell on the floor. #dinnerwithafiveyearold #Isholdhaveorderedsomethingstrongerthanwater

The highlight of the night was the Elon Basketball game! For the first time my college team came to Boston and it only took 15 years! Ella was very excited even though she wanted to cheer for the other team (her mom went to Northeastern). Honestly I can't say I blame her considering how poorly Elon played! We had so much fun anyway!

So many men in suits! All coaches?

Ella made a great cheerleader! She loved watching the cheerleaders do back flips after Northeastern scored foul shots. Oh and she loved the dance team too but made wide eyes at me a few times due to some of their moves. . . yeah that was fun!

We moved to the top near the end so I could talk to a friend and Ella made herself at home! She was not ready to leave. She had to watch the hand shakes at the end of the game too! Ha!

I was rushing to get a pic of us at the end and forgot to take my glasses off so this is a rare glimpse of me wearing them! Which reminds me I need to get myself a new pair now that my prescription has changed a little!

Needless to say Ella was up WAY past her bedtime! We got home at 9:30 and went right to bed but she didn't fall asleep until about 10 since she couldn't stop chatting about the game! Oh and she is a bed hog!

In the morning we did another Valentine's Day craft with glue which was rather messy and taking forever to dry! We didn't have a lot of time b/c I unfortunately had to see a client at 10 AM.

Now I'm watching the Superbowl and praying the Pats win!

Linking up for Weekending!

  6. Basketball as a sport,is a definitive medium to associate with the divine.Any individual who has played the game with power and passion over a routine period of the reality of the situation will become obvious eventually you that there are days and moments of clarity that the game gives you.As though somebody or something else was working through you. These are dynamic out of body experiences that players experience.
