Visiting Provincetown And Highland Lighthouse In Truro

This weekend while I was on the Cape my mom and I decided to take a day trip to Provincetown aka Ptown.  It is about an hour drive from Dennisport and we got an early start to beat the rush.  We left our place right after 8 AM.  I'd been to Ptown once before several years ago but it was about time I went to see it again.  It is a fun place to walk around and people watch!  We shopped and had lunch at a cute waterfront spot before heading home.

In case you didn't know, Ptown is a very friendly town - accepting of all people.

It was actually a beautiful day in Ptown - sunny and blue skies but in the morning when I took these pics it was still a bit overcast.

Seriously the cutest restaurant "buzzer" I've ever seen!  We ate lunch at the very well known and popular restaurant, The Lobster Pot.  There was a short wait so they gave us this lobster to hold onto!

When we were driving out of Ptown we took the scenic route to see the lighthouse and sand dunes.  The lighthouse is a good distance out so hard to see from the road (and we weren't us for a long hike) but the dunes are right up along the road and so so pretty!

Oh look I really was there!  My mom took my photo since we hadn't take any "people pictures" all day!  We stopped at Highland Lighthouse in North Truro since we were in the area.  It suddenly got gray and overcast despite being hot and sunny just moments before in Ptown.

We had such a nice day sightseeing in Ptown and checking out this lighthouse.  It made for a great Labor Day weekend.  I can't believe it is September!!!  Why must the summer go so fast?!?!

At least I only have a 3 day work week then Thursday night it is back to the Cape for the MS Challenge Walk aka walking 50 miles in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
