Five On Friday

ONE

Have you endorsed me for "Best Kept Secret" in the 3rd annual WEGO Health Activist Awards? You can do so once a day!  Go here! Last time I checked I had 52 and I would love to reach 100.  Thanks!

TWO

Have you seen these adorable "MS Walk Beads" my mom is selling to fundraise for The Bean Team?  If you have a Pandora bracelet I think it would make a great addition!  Go here for more info on how to get yours!

THREE

SAVE THE DATE: Sunday, March 23rd!  I'm planning a "Trivia Night" MS Fundraiser.  This is my 6th year raising money for MS and I'm trying to get creative with different ways to raise money.  I think this will be such a fun event.  Find your smartest friends and create a team!  More info to come.  The event will likely be 5:30 to 8:30 (so y'all can get home early enough to start your work week well rested)!

FOUR

I'm currently in New Jersey for a "Blogger Summit" for MS Bloggers.  It is being sponsored by Novartis Pharmaceutical, who makes Gilenya which is the new oral treatment I'm on for MS.  {I love Gilenya by the way and I have a post coming soon with an update about how I'm doing on it.}

I can't wait to tell you all about my time here when I return.  It is so great to connect with other MS Bloggers!

FIVE

I bought this dry shampoo the other day.  It is a new Herbal Essences product and since I like several of there other products I had high hopes for this product.  I'm a dry shampoo lover but did not like this one AT ALL!  It goes on more wet than others I've used.  It smells good but has left my hard stiff and hard to manage even after brushing it.  I will not be buying it again and likely won't even finish the bottle.  I am sticking with Suave Dry Shampoo all the way.  LOVE it! (I really don't notice much of a difference between the gold and silver bottles and have used and like both).

P.S. Helpful hint: put dry shampoo on at night before you go to bed and when you wake in the morning it will be all dried in and you won't have any issue with the white powder!

  1. I am a big fan of dry shampoo when I go camping. The portable shower is always cold! Who wants a cold shower in 30 degree weather? This stuff is a life saver but so hard to find. I am going to look for the suave and thanks for the tip on the night before. I am always worried I look like George Washington when I use my dry shampoo. Good work on the MS fund raising. I have recently become more interested in this subject for personal reasons and I love reading your healthy approach!
    Have a great weekend.
