The Enchanted Village

Yesterday I took Peyton and Ella to The Enchanted Village which if you live in Boston you know it as a Christmas tradition!  When I was a kid it was in the Jordan Marsh department store in downtown Boston.  It has now found a home at Jordan's Furniture in a town south of the city.  I'm so glad it is still around.  It is such a fun thing to do with kids at Christmas time.

You may remember I took the girls last year too.  You can see that post here.  It is amazing how much bigger they are this year.  But one thing is the same - they are still in LOVE with Santa and couldn't wait to see him.  That excitement alone makes the whole trip worth it!

When you go to The Enchanted Village it is important to plan ahead and be prepared! We got there about 40 minutes before it opened. We went to the bathroom and then got in line.  Luckily we were in the 2nd row of the line which got long very fast.  While waiting in lines the girls ate their snack while watching Frosty the Snowman.  Then I gave them a Hello Kitty coloring book (thank you Target dollar bins) which they loved! The thirty minutes we waited went by in no time!

While you're walking through the village it "snows" often.  The girls LOVE this and dance around trying to catching snow flakes.  It is so adorable and probably the only kind of snow I like!!

I was a little disappointed with this year's Santa.  A fake beard?! Really!  The Santa last year had a real beard and he was awesome.  Good thing the girls don't care/notice!

The girls couldn't wait to play "Racing Reindeer" and I decided to join in the fun this year.  Good thing I'm pretty good at ski ball and won twice so the girls could each get a little teddy bear!

They were so proud to show of their bears and tell everyone that I won for them.  That sure made it worth the 12 bucks it cost me for us each to play twice!!

After a lot of fun times at The Enchanted Village we went out to lunch. It was such a great day.  I love spending time with Peyton and Ella but it is even more fun at Christmas time. They sure do remind you about the spirit of Christmas!
