"Evil Did Not Win" (Remembering Sandy Hook)

One year ago today a horrible tragedy happened in Newtown, CT.  A very bad man shot and killed 26 people (20 first graders and 6 teachers) at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  He also killed his mother and himself.  Senseless.  Sickening.

Amazing goodness came from this terrible event.  Good people did good things.  You may remember that #26Acts went viral and people all over the country, including me, chose to do good in honor of the victims.

Today I am remembering the victims and praying for continued strength for their families.

If you haven't seen this video about Emilie take a few minutes and watch it.  Her family shares such an important message. . . "Evil did not win."

Read my #26Acts posts:
Days 1-7
Days 8-14
Days 15-21
Days 22-26

I hope that people who need mental health treatment will be able to access it. . .
I hope guns will stop getting in the hands of the wrong people. . .
I hope I never have to blog about a school shooting again. . .

  1. Thank you for sharing this. I'm pretty much sobbing from the video but it needs to be seen and shared and carried on. I hope for all that you do...

  3. Thank you for sharing. Bawling my eyes out at what an angel they lost, but even more the message that they pass on.
