Blogger Event At Cocoanuts Boston

Alternately titled: Chocolate Lovers Unite!!

Last night I attended an event at Cocoanuts Boston in the North End.  Blog and Tweet Boston organized this event and I was very excited to go again.  You may remember I attended a previous event here about a year ago.  On the way I had to snap a photo of the North End Christmas tree!

Rachel went too and it was nice to catch up while eating chocolate!  It was nice to see several other bloggers there too.  I love how every time I go to an event I meet a new blogger.  Boston is filled with amazing bloggers!  Now let's get on with it.  Here are the photos of the yummy treats. . .

I think I should take responsibility for eating the majority of the macaroons on that plate. They were SO good.  I also loved the white chocolate holiday bar and ate quite a few pieces of it.  Don't those plates look so pretty?!  Such a simple way to present treats at your holiday party!

Raaka Chocolate was there with plenty of samples.  I liked the vegan milk flavor.  It was very tasty while being dairy and gluten free!  This company is socially responsible - they are fair trade and green.

Pure was also there and they are only a little more than a month old (in terms of selling their chocolate).  It took them over a year to "master" it!  They use honey for the sweetener and this too is dairy and gluten free.  It is SO good.  If you can't make it to Cocoanuts it is also sold at Whole Foods.  They are so new they don't even have a website yet.  They are located in Carlisle, MA and make their chocolate on their farm.  Love that!

These caramels are AMAZING!  I love the black lava sea salt and Rachel loved the rosemary truffle sea salt (very savory).  These caramels were soft and chewy without getting stuck in your teeth!  McCrea's Candies is another local company and Jason was there to share his passion.  I love people who love what they do!  This is a must try and those "tubes" would make a great stocking stuffer!

Cocoanuts has so many other delicious treats.  You are sure to find something you like.  They make great gift baskets for the holidays too.  They would make a great hostess gift or fun to bring to the office for your co-workers.  You can make your own gift basket too!

The owners of Cocoanuts are so sweet.  I even scored a couple of restaurant recommendations while there.  Might as well get the scoop from those who have lived and worked in the North End for several years!!!

I love that this shop is small and sells so many local products.  Anyone can go to those regular candy stores but you are sure to find something unique and delicious here without breaking the bank!!
