Be Styled (My Blow Dry Bar Experience)

The other night I attended a complimentary Boston Bloggers event at Be Styled in Chestnut Hill.  It is new and I've been dying to try out one of these new trendy "blow dry bars."

Here are my before and after shots complete with champagne that they served me as soon as I walked through the door (that is my kind of place)!  My stylist took me over to her station and showed me pictures on an iPad of my choices. I went with Be Swirly because I wanted a curly look.  She then took me over the the wash station and offered a "double shampoo" which I declined (one was plenty for me)!

The whole place is so pretty.  It is bright and clean with this adorable phrase on the wall!  They also have products for sale.

The bathroom is so pretty with hand held mirrors painted on the wall.  I had to take a before selfie while in there! Ha!  Alison and Kate, the organizers, posed for an after photo with their Boston Bloggers flags!

One thing I was impressed with was how quickly my hair was dried and styled while not feeling rushed. Who wants to sit for hours getting their hair done? Not me!  This was great!  After we were done I got to catch up with Alana (pictured above) who I've met before and meet Dariel and Heidi (who works for La Petite Peach)!

It always amazes me how many Boston Bloggers are out there.  I've been to several events now and yet every time I go to an event I meet so many new people!

This was such a fun night and I would definitely go back to Be Styled in the future if I needed my hair done for a special occasion.  By the way it costs $35 to have it washed and styled.  Oh and I hear they just started doing makeup too so this would be a great stop before heading to a wedding!

Have you been to a blow dry bar?
