Restaurant Week at EVOO

Whoever invented "restaurant week" is a genius!  It is such a great way to try new restaurants that are a bit more expensive at a discounted rate.  I'm so glad my friend Ilka emailed Missy and I the other day to organize.  Last night we went to EVOO in Cambridge and had an awesome meal.  I seriously can't stop thinking about it!

The restaurant week menu consisted of 3 courses for $38.  Each course had at least 8 choices which I loved b/c sometimes you go to a place for restaurant week and they only have 3 choices.  EVOO had all their popular menu items on it!  Here is what I got:

Sangria Martini

Chipotle Laced Peach Gazpacho with Cucumber, Cilantro and Toasted Almonds

Roast Chicken Breast with Green Garlic-Potato Croquette,Tomato-Zucchini Salad and Garlicky Chicken Jus

Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake with Toasted Marshmallow Cream

In case you haven't figured it out by now I LOVE sangria.  As in I'm obsessed with it and pretty much anytime it is on a menu I order it.  This martini was SO good!

My food was delicious.  I really liked both my first course and main course.  Ilka and Missy's food looked delicious too.  I should have taken pictures but they already thought I was crazy for taking pictures of my food. Haha!

Ok but now about this dessert. . . do you see this dessert?!  It has toasted marshmallow around the amazing chocolate cake.  Is was quite possibly one of the top 3 best desserts I've ever had.  It was so good.  OMG!  That dessert was worth the trip alone.

Restaurant week is still going on so get yourself over to EVOO to try for yourself.  The restaurant is really nice and the service was excellent.  The tables are spaced out nicely so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of the people next to you.  There is validated parking in the garage below the restaurant so it only cost $3 which in Boston/Cambridge is an awesome deal!!!

Have you been to EVOO?  What restaurants have your tried during restaurant week?

  2. Man, oh man, all that food looks scrumptious! And that martini... I die! And that dessert would have been devoured in 2 bites. Restaurant week is coming up the next few weeks in Philly, and we always try to go to somewhere new! I too, hate when a place only has 3 options from their entire menu.

  3. Sangria Martini? Give me! Love me some Restaurant Week-- we went to 647 Tremont this year, and I was so impressed with how many options they had to choose from on their RW menu too! Sounds like everyone's getting the hang of it...!

  4. Everything looks yummyyyyy. I love restaurant week, but we competely missed it this year. Boo. It's great to know about the $3 parking - I hate it when a place says they validate and it only takes $1 off the $15 parking. What was the point? Haha.

  7. That food looks so good!! I am not a soup person, but the rest is a menu I would happily order. Good food and good company at a reasonable price is a night you can't beat. Glad you had so much fun!

  8. That sounds awesome, but I'm so picky with food I'm not sure it would benefit me. :/ The drink looks amazing though! :)
