Country Concert at Fenway Park

Friday night I went to an awesome concert at a great location. . . Thomas Rhett, Jake Owen, Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean performed at Fenway Park!

Unfortunately there was major traffic or something going on Friday night which delayed the buses going to Fenway.  I waited 50 minutes for a bus (after 4 went by and did not stop).  So by the time I got there and met up with Emily (who also got stuck waiting for the T) we both really need a drink.  Enter this pitcher of margaritas!  Don't worry we ate too.

We got into Fenway a few minutes prior to Miranda Lambert.  We missed seeing Thomas and Jake but we were ok with that.  I'm sure they were great!

Miranda put on a great show.  She sang all her songs you would know and love.  She has a lot of spunk.  No special appearance from her hubby (I was really hoping)!  Is it just me or does she always wear strapless tops!?

Jason Aldean came out with a bang.  Literally!  Fireworks lit up the sky which was really pretty!
Jason put on an awesome show.  He has so many hits and sang them all.  He was great except for one little thing. . .

He started singing "Don't You Want To Stay" which is his duet with Kelly Clarkson and also one of  my favorite songs.  Well when it got to Kelly's part she appeared on the stage.  What!?  I couldn't believe it.  Emily and I were so excited.  He sang with her and at the end said "Let's hear it for Kelly Clarkson" and everyone cheered.  Very cool except. . . . Jason lied to me!  She wasn't really there.  It was some kind of crazy real-life like video screen. WHAT??!!!  Are you kidding me?!  Let me tell you it was so realistic.  I'm still wondering if I'm the only one who didn't know she wasn't really there.  Now I hear she does the same thing at her concerts (which I'll see in August).  So while I loved the concert I'm mad at Jason for "punking" me.  Haha!!

And because I'm sure you are all wondering which boots I chose and what I wore here ya go!  I went with the boots on the right because I thought they were more fun and unique.  And let's face it they were $20 bucks cheaper which put them much more in my price range.  I like them!

So all and all a great night.  The weather was perfect, the concert was awesome and I saw more cowboys in Boston than I've ever seen in my life.  Who knew there were so many county music fans in Boston??

For all you Jason Aldean concert goers please tell me I'm not the only one who thought Kelly was live!?

  1. This concert just sounds like a blast. So many good artists! And at Fenway? Even better! Wish I could've came!

  2. Sounds and looks like a GREAT show!
I love the boots, very cute

  3. I wish I could get into country music, because it just seems like the hip and cool thing now! Everyone always talks about how much fun the concerts are. Maybe I'll try to listen to some Miranda and see if I can be swayed. I'm glad you had a great time, despite being late. I adore the necklaces both you and Emily are wearing!

  4. Yay I'm glad you had so much fun! I'm not a country fan but all the concerts at Fenway rock - the boots look great!

  5. Love your boots, and that delicious looking margarita pitcher. It sounds like a great night!

  6. I'm so jealous!! I'm hoping to go to Jason's concert in Oct here in Dallas. Brad Paisley did the whole "hologram" thing at his concert a few years ago- during Whiskey Lullaby when Allison Krauss "walked out" on stage. It was very realistic looking! I bet you weren't the only one fooled! :)

  7. What??? They faked a Kelly Clarkson? Crazy.

  8. I wasn't even going to read this post because I knew I would be SO jealous- glad you had fun!

  9. I'm not a big country fan but this concert looks like a blast. I'm sure the pitcher of margaritas made it better too... yum!

  10. Dying. Love all those folks & their music. Carrie Underwood did a similar thing in her tour where Brad Paisley sings alongside her through a video, but it looks so real at first!

  11. Such fun! Country concerts are always fun and Jason Aldean is one of the best! I saw Thomas Rhett last year and he's really good too. And the venue?? Does it get any better? Sounds like a fantastic night!

  12. you are adorable. :) i am a big fan of john berry so in my mind he can take on all the cw singers. :)

thanks for blogging about your experience with tecfidera. i am glad it is working out for many but since i already have gastro problems i will not try to fight for it.

of course you are an activist! look at what all you do!
