Fortunately the rain had cleared away by the time I had to walk on Friday evening. So I only had to deal with the puddles. I walked for 1.5 hours and stayed for the Survivor's Ceremony which is always so moving and emotional.
Love that this dad was pulling his daughter's teddy bear!
Many teams camp out overnight. I'm sure they were laying in mud after all the rain!
Luminaries line the entire track!
This year as I walked I remembered three women I work with who all lost their battles to cancer within the past month. They were all nurses and all in their 50s - much too young to die.
Have you ever participated in Relay for Life? It is a great event and raises money to support cancer patients and programs.
