Before I recap my weekend I want to wish all the Boston Marathon runners a great run! So glad the weather is cooperating for the runners this year (unlike last year when it was 80 degrees)!
For those of you who don't live in MA - today we celebrate a holiday known as Patriot's Day. Many have the day off but I am not one of the lucky ones. I'm at work. Saving lives! :)
If you've read my blog for a while you may remember that my cousin Katelyn ran the Boston Marathon two years ago on the MS team. She raised a lot of money for MS and to this day I am still so thankful to her for that. If you want to read my post with general Boston Marathon info you can do that here. To read my recap of Katelyn's run go here.
Now onto the weekend recap. Don't get too excited. I pretty much did nothing all weekend!
This Weekend I. . .
. . . was weak and ate froyo. And cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. And ice cream birthday cake. And starburst jelly beans. Ooops. Not a good weekend. #CleanEatingFailure
. . . gained weight for the first time in over a month since I started healthy eating. I wonder why? Back at it today!
. . . had a belated birthday lunch with my friend, Cara at Cheesecake Factory. She treated me to a lovely lunch and dessert (don't worry we shared a piece)!
. . . finally started reading "Start" by Jon Acuff. So far so good! As I'm reading I keeping saying to myself, "Oh I could write a blog post about that idea!"
. . . I finally got an oil change for my car. FYI the people who work at Auto Zone are the nicest most helpful people. I went there after my oil change to pick up a new air filter (b/c let's face it - way cheaper than having oil change place do it). I also got a light bulb for over my license plate which I'll need in order to pass inspection in a few months. The guy put both new items in for me at no charge. The last time I was there for new wipers same thing. Love that!
. . . I celebrated my birthday with my family! It was a couple of weeks delayed since it fell on Easter Weekend and then last weekend was the MS Walk. I had my favorite dinner and Carvel ice cream dinner. Same thing I have every year!
And that about does it. I told you it was a low key weekend. I got some napping in and went to bed early last night and I'm still tired today. I think I need sun and warm weather to arrive to give me some energy!
Happy Marathon Monday!
