This Weekend = Pampering, Relaxing and Laughing

I had a lovely weekend that went by way too fast. . . as always.  I didn't even mind "losing" an hour of sleep because Spring Forward means one thing - longer days!

I can't even begin to explain to you how happy more daylight makes me.

The last few weekends have been very busy.  So this weekend was all about pampering myself, relaxing/sleeping and laughing!  Sounds like the perfect ways to spend a weekend!

Oh but before we talk about the weekend let's take a look at what I woke up to on Friday morning.  The 1 to 3 inches of snow we were "suppose" to get ended up being 12 inches!!!!  Not funny.  At all.

Good thing it was bright and sunny all weekend so a lot of melting happened.

Friday afternoon two of the Boston Bruins stopped by my work for a visit.  The event was open to the community and since it was a snow day for many schools there were a lot of kids there.

I didn't wait in line for autographs but I did sneak up close to snap a couple of pics.  The players are Anton Khudobin #35 and Lane MacDermid #64.  So nice of them to visit!

Saturday I slept in.  It was glorious.  I finally got up and got ready for my very relaxing facial!  I had a gift certificate from Christmas so pampering was on the agenda.

After the pampering I needed to treat myself to some froyo.  I mean I had to.  It is is the same plaza.  It was the first dessert I had had in a week (since I'm trying to eat clean).  I had brownie batter and cake batter.  It was delicious!

After that there may have been a little shopping for BlissDom.
A girl has to have some new clothes for vacation!

Sunday is when the laughing came into play.  We did a lot of laughing at Georgina's house.  She hosted a lovely brunch for a few of her friends (mostly bloggers).

How cute is this table?  With a gift for each of us (a note pad and pen in case we wanted to write down any new blogs)!

My favorite thing was the champagne bar for sure.  How cute it that!?  I had never tried guava and it was delicious.  My new favorite "mimosa."

The food was delicious especially the brown sugar/black pepper bacon and the sweet potato hash.  Georgina knows how to throw a party!

Top:  Abby, Georgina and Kate  -  Bottom:  Me, Tina and Agnes

It was so much fun hanging out w/ these ladies.  There were definitely some stories shared that had me laughing.  I loved it!

Sunday evening had the usual - grocery shopping, food prep for the week, cooking, cleaning, etc.  The evening flew by and as usual I wished for a longer weekend!

Today is the first day of MS Awareness Week.  Each day I will share a fact(s) about MS in order to increase MS awareness.  If you would like to learn more about what you can do to raise awareness go here.

Is MS fatal?
In rare cases MS is so malignantly progressive it is terminal, but most people with MS have a normal or near-normal life expectancy. Severe MS can shorten life.

In honor of MS Awareness Week I'm giving away an Orange Blossom (orange is the color for MS) Edible Arrangement.  Go to this post to enter.  You have until Friday!  It will make a delicious treat for someone.

Looks like such a great weekend. From the hockey players to the facial, to the fun brunch!

I think it's great that you are going to post MS facts because most people don't know about it, like me. So it's great to be educated.

    Thanks for linking up!
