I love manicures. I would get one every single week if I could afford to. But I can't. So when I get a manicure I want it to be a good one and to last a week. Is that too much to ask?
I've gone to the same nail salon for many years. They have always done a great job. That is until this week.
I went on Tuesday night and the man that did my nails is new to me. But since I've always had good luck with everyone there I wasn't too worried about it. Oh I should have been worried.
I woke up on Wednesday morning and the majority of my nails were chipped. From sleeping. What?
I was so annoyed by it all day at work. I hate the way chipped nails look.
So after work I went back. I showed the owner and she said they would redo them.
Unfortunately the same guy was there so I had to have him redo them. But there would be no way that I could get two bad manicures in a row right? Wrong!
I woke up Thursday morning to this. . .
Now I know it is only one small chip but all I did was sleep.
All I can figure is that he used a crappy top coat. It wasn't OPI and the other people there typically use all OPI products. Two strikes. He is out. I will not be going back to him. Ever.
So how is a girl suppose to make it through a whole day at work with a chipped nail you ask?
Yup that should do the trick. Nobody will ever know (well except for all of my blog readers).
When I got home on Thursday night I knew I needed to fix it. But I didn't have the color obviously.
So when life gives you lemons you make lemonade
and when the nail salon gives you a bad manicure you make glitter nails!
So now I have a twist on a french manicure. With glitter.
It looks pretty. And more importantly it solves the problem of the chipped nail.
