Another weekend has come and gone. Why do they always fly by?
I had a fabulous weekend and definitely got into the holiday spirit. . .
This weekend I. . . went to dinner at Del Frisco's with Missy. Ilka was suppose to come with us as well but she ended up getting sick. We missed you Ilka! I had won a gift certificate over the summer at my sister-in-law's fundraiser and was finally using it!
I had "The Breath of Fresh Pear" (left) and "The VIP" which is vodka infused with fresh pineapple. It is safe to say that this is my new favorite drink in Boston! It was the best part of my meal. Haha!
I have heard from several people that Del Frisco's is the best steak house in Boston. I'll have to take their word for it since I don't eat steak. . .
Missy had some oysters and said they were really good. We had caesar salad which was delicious. I had chicken and Missy had steak. We order two sides to share - asparagus and the special which was a sweet potato casserole. It was SO good!
It wasn't the best meal I've ever had (especially for the money) but it was really good. The service was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. It was a fun time and I'm glad we went. I will definitely be back to the bar/lounge area for a VIP!
This weekend I. . . took Peyton and Ella to the Enchanted Village. It was wonderful.
You'll have to check back tomorrow for a full recap of our Christmas adventure!
This weekend I. . . let my nieces play in a furniture store. Feed on every display bed - check! They had a blast playing "house" in all the girl bedrooms.
This weekend I. . . ate lunch at McDonald's. I should have known better when I let them choose. At least I got to drink sweet tea.
This weekend I. . . did some more Christmas shopping. Three more gifts purchased. Only a few to go.
Oh and I may have rewarded myself with a pinkberry (coconut and passion fruit = delicious).
This weekend I. . . started some Christmas decorating. The Christmas cards have started to arrive and soon enough my entire pantry door will be covered!
I put out my new Willowtree nativity scene. I love it!
And my Christmas cactus is blooming. This makes me so happy!
Tree to be purchases this week (as soon as it stops raining) and more decorating will be happening!
This weekend I. . . listened to only Christmas music while in the car. Love it.
There is my weekend in a nutshell. What did you do?
