The Katie Show

Are you watching?  If not you should be!  I mean I'm not actually watching it when it airs in Boston b/c I'm at work.  But my trusty DVR records it each and every day then I can watch it when I get home.  Best part is that I can fast forward through the commercials!

I've always been a fan of Katie.  Loved her on The Today Show and I'm so happy she has her own show now.  It suits her well and not only is she doing the fun stuff but she gets serious about some very important topics on a regular basis.  Kudos Katie!

Yesterday the show was titled

it featured 16 year old Whitney Kropp from Michigan
(aka the girl who was nominated for homecoming court as a joke).

Last week she did a show on Dating Violence and featured Sharon and Lexie Love, mother and sister of Yeardley Love who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend at University of Virginia.

Both of these topics are very important to me.

Bullying and dating violence needs to stop.  This is why I'm on the board for MAAV.

We are making a difference in our community.  What are you doing in yours?

It saddens me that kids have to deal with this crap on a daily basis.

Bringing more awareness to these issues is so very important.

  1. I haven't watched The Katie Show yet. I have been meaning to though; enjoyed her on The Today Show for all those years! Thank you for bringing awareness to this piece on bullying and for working to make a difference.

On a completely unrelated note, thank you so much for your comments on my blog re: therapy, adoption, and everything else! Your constant advice and support is deeply appreciated, Jodi. You are an amazing person. xo

  2. I enjoy the Katie Show...she may be the next Oprah in the talk show world.
