Labor Day Weekend - Part 2

If you missed Part 1 of my Labor Day Weekend you can go here and read it first.  Warning: numerous pictures of my adorable niece Peyton!

Sunday morning started out with an early wake up call since I had to work one of my private practice cases for a few hours.  After that it was a quick trip to the mall to get the last of the essentials for the MS Challenge Walk and then off to party!

Owen turned 1 on Sunday and his party was adorable!  Oh and the cupcakes were delicious!

Such a handsome boy!  He looks so big and grown up in these pictures!  Hard to believe he is already 1.

Of course he has a smash cake!  It took hit a few minutes to really dive in and not sure if he really liked the taste or not (but I'm sure if he didn't at first he will develop a liking for all things sweet - how can he not!?)

Pictures of me with the birthday boy and the proud mama!  It was a fun afternoon and glad I was able to go (since I thought I was going to miss it due to my canceled vacation).  Looking forward to celebrating many more special occasions with this little guy!

After Owen's birthday party I took a ride down the street to Carter's new house!  Yup that is right - Joana and her family moved to the same town that Kendall lives in.  So now I have 2 of my closest friends living within 5 minutes of each other.  Joana's new house is great and check out that back yard - beautiful!

By the time I got home on Sunday night I was ready to collapse!  Busy day meant early bed time.

Monday ended up being a quiet day at home (thankfully) after the plans I had got canceled.  It actually ended up being really good b/c I was so tired from my busy weekend and really needed to rest up in preparation for the big 50 mile walk coming up. . . in oh 3 days!  Gasp!

I did watch the movie Bachelorette on demand (before you can see it in theatres).  To be honest it is a train wreck and I'll be shocked if it even makes it to the theatre.  I think they were trying to be like Bridesmaids but not even close. . . nice try.  Save yourself the money and skip this one.

Hope you all had a fabulous Labor Day weekend.  I may be in denial that summer is over.  This is a 2 day work week for me.  Thursday I will head to the Cape for the MS Challenge Walk.  I think I can manage to get through work for the next 2 days!

  1. I haven't even heard of the movie Bachelorette. Interesting. Oh, and I still love that dress! :)

  2. What a cute party!! I love the cake smash picture! Sorry that you didn't like the movie. I loved it so much I watched it twice, but I'm a huge fan of dark comedies.
