Revere Beach Sand Castle Competion

For the second year in a row I went to the Revere Beach Sand Castle Competition.  Last year was the first time I ever went to Revere Beach and also learned that it is America's First Public Beach established in 1896.  For those of you who don't live around here it is what I would call a "city" beach but considering how close it is to Boston it is ok and you get to watch the airplanes take off/land right above you!

To read my blog post from when I went last year go here.

This was the main sand castle that has all the sponsors for the event on it.  It was awesome!  I love the Red Sox anyways but this was just so cool.  The detail was amazing.  And then we were so surprised when we walked around to the back and saw Wally. Too cute!

The 3 guys/faces in the top picture was my favorite of all the sand castles.  It was so cool in person.  It didn't win anything though!

The bee like creature won 1st place.  Not sure why - I didn't really care for it.  I guess part of the back of it was hollow which is hard to do. . . I just go by the way they look.  I think the one on the top right looks like a Willow Tree figurine!

I went with Joana and Carter again this year.  We had fun but didn't stay too long b/c it was REALLY hot.  We were sweating even w/ the ocean breeze.  I hadn't seen Carter in a bit so it was fun to see him.  I would say he was happy to see me as he would not stop kissing me! Ha!!
