Thursday Thoughts

Yay for Thursday which means only.one.more.day.of.work!  This week is kicking my butt and I'm ready for some extra weekend sleeping!  Today I'm linking up with Life of Love to share my random thoughts.  I know you're excited!

Taylor and I went to the Red Sox game last night thanks to AFC Mentoring hooking us up with FREE tickets!  {For those of you who don't know I am Taylor's mentor and in June we will celebrate our 5 year anniversary} Taylor and I have been to many games in our years together but this was the first time we sat in seats other than the bleachers.  Nothing against the bleachers b/c I do love them but it was fun to see the game from a different perspective!  We were in the right field grand stands.

It was cold but we were prepared with layers, hats, gloves and a blanket!  Unfortunately the Red Sox did not win (Taylor and I have bad luck when it comes to being at winning games)!  We actually had to leave before the end of the game due to school today for her and work for me.  We had a lot of fun.

And just for fun. . . check out these pictures. . . top being in 2008 and bottom being from last night.  Taylor has grown up so much in the years I've know her.  I love that we have been friends for so long and have so many great memories to share together!  {By the way Taylor just got her braces off and she is now much more willing to take pictures with me which makes me very happy.  And her teeth look beautiful!}

Since we are on the topic of mentoring I will share some amazing news that I just received this morning. . . AFC Mentoring has chosen me as one of the three finalists to receive the "Mentor of the Year" award!  I'm blown away by this news.  I feel so honored to be recognized in such a way for doing something that I love to do.

Happy Thursday!

  4. I love the right field grandstand! When I lived in the city, that's where we always sat. Congratulations on your nomination. I'm sure you deserve to win. I can't wait to read more of your blog. Thanks for checking mine out. :)
