Bras, Birthday Dinner and Beach

On Saturday morning my friend Danielle and I went to an interesting event in Boston, Skinny Cow Perfect Cup, which was a chance to try the new Skinny Cow "cups" of ice cream and get fitted for a bra in the right "cup" size.  Interesting combo right?
The event was set up really nicely.  They had this fun photo booth where you could have your picture taken, food, wine (for free), ice cream (of course) and raffles.  We had our fitting as soon as we got there and received a coupon for a free bra at Macy's.  I love free stuff and bras are expensive!

The Skinny Cow Perfect Cup events are traveling all over.  So if they come to a city near you I highly recommend going (Providence, LA, Houston and Chicago are left)!  Check out the pink car - I must admit that they would have to pay me a lot of money to drive around in that!

FREE ice cream and FREE wine!  What could be better?  Ice cream flavors were delicious and Beringer Moscato wine w/ mandarin orange was yummy.

Saturday night was celebration time.  We celebrated Beth's 30th Birthday by going to dinner at 28 Degrees in the South End.  They have many "small plates" so we shared a bunch of great food.  I also had some tasty martinis including ruby red grapefruit, watermelon and a peach bellini frozen drink.

After dinner we went to the InterContinental Hotel to go to a bar but first we went to the outdoor patio which is on the water.  It was a beautiful night and we sat out there for a long time.  I would definitely go back there (even though the drinks were super expensive).

On Sunday I had to work but before you feel bad for me get this.  I got paid cash to sit on the beach and supervise a visit of a mother with her kids.  Not so shabby right!  Good money and such a nice day to sit on the beach.

It is also the start of the annual sand castle contest so the crews were there working hard.  I am so impressed with this process.  A lot goes into it.  Check this out!  I hope to get back there on Fri or Sat to see the finished product.

The other cool thing about the beach is that it is close to the airport so the plans fly right over your head and are really low.  I know it doesn't look that close in the picture but take my word for it they are low!  You can read the writing on the plans and everything!

All and all a very nice weekend.  If only they were longer.  I was exhausted today at work!  I guess I didn't get enough napping in this weekend.  Hope everyone had a great weekend!
