3 More Days. . .

Until the BOSTON MS WALK!!!!  The Bean Team will be there looking BLUE!  Don't worry this is a GOOD thing.  For the first time The Bean Team is wearing team shirts.  I'm sure we will stand out in a sea of orange wearing BLUE!!!  Do you want a sneak peak???

 What do you think?

In other news, I called my ENT doctor yesterday and by some miracle I was able to get an appointment for 8 AM this morning b/c he had a cancellation.  I just couldn't wait until my already scheduled post-op appointment on May 2nd b/c my ear has been really bothering me.  So this morning I got good news and bad news.

The Good News:  the problem with my ear being blocked is not due to my eustachian tube which means I will not have to have the procedure repeated. . . I had a test done in the office today which shows that my tube is not blocked and working as it should be.  Good news yes but then what is causing the problem?

The Bad News:  the doctor is not sure exactly what is causing my ear problem but has two other things he is considering.  He said my ear drum does not look normal (which would look "clear").  My right ear drum looks "fine" but my left ear drum has many bright red blood vessels visible.  He thinking is that these blood vessels are dilating and when the rush of blood goes to my ear drum I'm feeling the "blocked feeling."  Unfortunately if this is indeed the problem there is no treatment for this as of now. . . One other thing they want to rule out is any issues w/ my jaw (which is unlikely but just in case).  So for the next few weeks I need to take Alieve everyday to see if it will do anything.  If not he will be back to thinking this "blood vessel" thing is the issue.  So to be continued until May 2nd. . .

I really like my ENT doctor.  He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things.  Today he told me that I'm not crazy (thank you) and that there really is something going on with my ear.  I like that he is willing to try to figure it out even though it is not easy.  I feel so fortunate that there are so many great medical facilities and doctors near me!

I will admit that I am beyond frustrated with my ear issues and so tired of the "blocked" feeling.  But I know that in the big scheme of things this isn't the end of the world.  I can continue to deal with this if I have to even though it is very bothersome.  Looking on the bright side at least I can hear!

Jumping to a completely new topic I am happy to report that I am once again living in a CLEAN apartment (thanks to the help of my mom).  After traveling to KY, FL and house sitting my apartment had gotten out of hand with clothes, mail, and stuff.  It really needed some attention and my mom was nice enough to come over and help me.  I don't know why but I regress to when I was a child when it comes to cleaning.  I just can't make myself do it.  But when my mom is here I'll do it!  So it is done and hopefully will stay clean for a little while.  Next project will be switching over to spring clothes and putting away winter clothes.  Not my favorite thing to do but I do love warmer weather coming so maybe that will motivate me.  We can hope!

Ok I think I've probably bored you all enough for today.  Look out for Fundraising Fridays tomorrow with an updated total.
