I LOVE 3 day weekends. It is so nice to have an extra day to do something fun or to relax before heading back to work. Even better is I'm only working 3 days this week b/c I took Friday off for the MS Challenge Walk on the Cape. I'm really looking forward to it. My mom and I are on the crew and I am The Big Top Tent Crew Leader. We are going to have so much fun! Of course I'll post pics and tell you all about it afterwards.
I had a great weekend fill with a lot of fun things. Friday night Emily and I went out to dinner since our Red Sox game was postponed until Sat and she wasn't able to go. We enjoyed a great Mexican dinner (look forward to a restaurant review coming this week).Saturday Katelyn and I went to the Red Sox game and while it was pretty hot in the early innings it was beautiful by the end of the game. Too bad we saw a loss and the Red Sox have no shot for the playoffs at this point.
Saturday night I hung out w/ Stacy. We ordered takeout food and drank champagne (a tradition for us). Stacy is moving to London today so I won't see her again until May when I visit. I'm sad to be losing a good friend and a scrapbooking buddy but I look forward to visiting her since London is one of my very favorite cities in the world!
Sunday I got up early and drove to the Cape. I hung out w/ my mom since my dad was doing his favorite thing to celebrate his birthday (umpiring a double header). We went to a craft fair, Ann Taylor Loft and Panera for lunch. It was a nice day. Then my brother and sis-in-law decided last minute to make a trip down w/ the girls. So I got to see the cuties before heading off to see two other cuties - Emma and Cami! I babysat Jaime's girls while she went to a family wedding.
We all went out to dinner for my dad's bday and it was a lot of fun. The girls made instant friends! Of course Ella wanted out of her high chair so she could hang w/ the "big girls." Peyton, Emma and Cami were like 3 peas in a pod - they all wanted pasta w/ butter for dinner. Haha!
Monday I left the Cape early to avoid traffic and drove to the Wrentham Outlets. I had to return something but ended up buying a few things too. Ann Taylor Outlet had 40% off the whole store and had so many cute fall things. So I got some work clothes since I have to dress up more at my new job than I did at my old one. I love getting good deals! After that I did a bunch of errands and finally went to the grocery store for the first time in months! Haha! I ended the weekend by hanging w/ Sammy and Jake. I can't believe they start kindergarten on Wed. I've been taking care of them since they were infants. Time flys!
I love LONG weekends! Oh and I found out last week that my new job doesn't give Columbus Day as a day off from work. Boo! So good thing I have a Cali vacation the last week of Sept to look forward to. :)
